Ever
wondered what is the difference between waffles and pancake?
Anyway, today
we will uncover the top 3 waffles in Singapore!
1. Oblong Café
This hidden little shop at Serangoon Garden sells ice cream, waffles and pasties. A very good place to chill and chit chat after eating at Chomp Chomp food centre located 3 minutes’ walk away from Oblong.
Earl grey and cookie monster ice cream with s’ mores waffle
Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. This s’ mores waffle makes me crave for more bites. Our favourite would be the earl grey ice cream. The creamy texture and sweetness is just awesome!
Speculoos ice cream with speculoos waffle
We tried combining the same flavour of ice cream and waffle together to see whether if they match. No doubt. This is a match made in heaven. Unconsciously, we reach out for more bites and without knowing there was no trace of the waffle after 10 minutes being served.

2.Sunday Folk
Whenever
someone ask about good waffles to eat in Singapore, no doubt everyone will
mention about Sunday’s Folk. The store is always packed with people. Luckily,
we managed to get some seats to satisfy our waffle craving. Do not be
disheartened by the small size of the waffle, it is topped with dollop of soft
serve with a wide array of toppings to choose from.
Roasted Pistachio soft
serve with hand made gula melaka mocha
I
ordered the Roasted Pistachio soft served with handmade gula melaka mocha toppings.
The highlight of this is the soft-serve, it is ICE CREAM-LICIOUS. The waffle is
served with maple syrup and chocolate sauces drizzled at the edge makes it Instagram
worthy as well.
Queue to order waffle
Everything
here look like its came out of a fine-dining restaurant. A good place to bring
your date for affordable dessert. Remember to make reservation if you are
coming in a big group or go slightly before their opening hours to avoid the
queue.

3. Fatcat Ice Cream Bar
Do
not worry, I have not forgotten about people living in the east! We have
identified a waffle place for you to satisfy that waffle craving at Bedok’s
Fatcat Ice Cream Bar. This place is located in a quiet HDB area opposite Bedok
Library.
Vanilla and earl grey
ice cream with charcoal waffle topped with salted egg-sauce
Their charcoal waffles with salted egg-sauce is
undoubtedly keeping them there. The salted egg sauce is very light and smooth. Don't we
just love anything with salted-egg?
